FamilyInsured ("we," "us," "our") operates yourfamilyinsured.com (the "Site") to connect consumers seeking final expense whole-life insurance with licensed insurance agents. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and your rights.
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us when you fill out a quote form: name, age, ZIP code, phone number, and email address.
- TCPA consent: an electronic signature confirming you agree to be contacted by phone, SMS, or pre-recorded messages.
- Technical information: IP address, browser type, device type, timestamps, referring URL, and click identifiers (e.g., fbclid, gclid).
- Analytics and advertising cookies: we use Meta Pixel (and the Meta Conversions API) and may use Google Analytics to measure ad performance and improve the Site.
2. How we use your information
- Connect you with one or more licensed insurance agents who can provide a personalized quote.
- Respond to your inquiries by phone, SMS, email, and pre-recorded messages, with your prior express written consent.
- Measure and optimize our advertising campaigns (e.g., reporting conversion events back to Meta or Google).
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share your information
When you submit a quote request, your information is transferred to one or more independent, licensed insurance agents and/or licensed insurance carriers or partners so they can provide you with quotes and coverage. These independent agents and partners may contact you by phone, SMS, and/or email using the contact details you provided, including for marketing purposes where you have consented. Each independent agent or partner is responsible for its own use of your information once it is shared.
We may also share information with service providers (e.g., CRM, hosting, analytics, and dialer software) that perform services on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations, and as required by law or to protect our legal rights.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising technologies (such as the Meta Pixel and Conversions API) may be considered "selling" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain state privacy laws — see Section 5 below.
4. Your choices
- Opt out of marketing calls/SMS: reply STOP to any SMS message we send, or tell the agent on the phone you wish to be removed. See our SMS Terms in Section 7.
- Email opt-out: click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email we send.
- Cookies: most browsers let you block or delete cookies; doing so may affect Site functionality.
- State privacy rights: residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have rights to access, delete, or correct their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising and the "sale"/"sharing" of personal information. Email support@yourfamilyinsured.com to exercise these rights.
5. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not exchange your personal information for money. However, like many advertisers, we use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API (CAPI), and may use similar Google advertising tools, on our Site. Under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) and similar laws in other states, the use of these technologies to deliver and measure advertising across different businesses may constitute a "sale" or "share" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
You have the right to opt out. To opt out of this "sale"/"sharing," you can:
- Email support@yourfamilyinsured.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information," and we will honor your request.
- Use your browser's privacy controls or a recognized opt-out preference signal (such as Global Privacy Control), which we will treat as a valid opt-out request where required by law.
- Adjust your ad preferences directly with Meta and Google through their respective ad-settings pages.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
6. TCPA disclosure
By providing your phone number and submitting our quote form, you provide your prior express written consent to receive telemarketing calls, text messages, and pre-recorded messages from FamilyInsured and our licensed insurance partners at the phone number you provided, including via automated technology (such as auto-dialers and pre-recorded message systems). This consent is not a condition of purchase. You can revoke your consent at any time by following the opt-out instructions in Sections 4 and 7.
7. SMS / text messaging terms
If you opt in to receive text messages from FamilyInsured or our licensed partners, the following terms apply:
- Program description: you will receive text messages related to your insurance quote request, including follow-ups from licensed agents and account or appointment notifications.
- Message frequency: message frequency varies based on your interaction with us.
- Cost: Msg & data rates may apply. Message and data rates are charged by your wireless carrier and are your responsibility.
- Opt out: reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time. After you send STOP, we will send one final confirmation message and will not send further marketing texts unless you opt in again.
- Help: reply HELP for assistance, or email support@yourfamilyinsured.com.
- Carrier disclaimer: carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers may vary.
8. Data security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Insurance products offered through the Site are available to adults; eligibility varies by product and state.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated by posting a notice on the Site.
